Tony is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, having graduated from the PTA program at Hutchinson Community College and passed his board exam in 2026. He brings over three years of hands-on experience as a PT technician at Empower Physical Therapy to his work, along with a perspective few PTAs have: he was once a patient here himself. Years ago, Tony came to the clinic with a serious low back injury and had nearly lost hope of recovering. Not only did her recover- he grew stronger and more active than he’d been before the injury. That experience changed the course of his life. What started as a personal recovery became a calling: becoming a PTA in the twilight of his working life feels less like a risk and more like fulfilling his purpose. He’s as passionate about renewing his patients’ hope as he is about rehabbing their bodies, because he’s lived both sides of that journey. Outside the clinic, Tony has been married to his wife, Laurie, for 35 years, and together they have three adult children and a 7.5 year old chiweenie named Noel. When he’s not on the clinic floor, you’ll likely find him enjoying time with Laurie or playing pickleball.
