Jake was born and raised in Derby, KS. He knew early that he wanted to pursue a career in the health care field and found a true passion for physical therapy following several observation opportunities. After graduating from McPherson College with his Bachelor of Science in Biology he continued his education at Wichita State University where he had multiple clinical rotations, one of which being at Empower Physical Therapy in Newton. He fell in love, not only with the town of Newton itself, but with the unique atmosphere at Empower Physical Therapy. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2016 and accepted a physical therapy position with Empower Physical Therapy following his graduation. In 2017 Jake married his best friend Ashley and is now a dad to Hadley and Rylee. Jake enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Jake’s Specialties are: Sports rehab, industrial rehab, Vestibular/dizziness, Neuropathy, Micro point stimulation (MPS), Modern management of the older adult, and Parkinson’s LSVT BIG -certified
