Moving towards a Pain Free Back

Ever have pain in the middle of your back at the end of the day? Whether it’s from working where you use your arms repeatedly, or sitting at a desk all day, etc?

 

Thoracic back pain can come in many forms from sharp pains when breathing to dull aching pain and stiffness. Typically this pain comes from repeated bad posturing and lack of movement in this area.

 

Here at Empower Physical Therapy we can help with posture education, manual techniques to relieve pain, and increasing mobility. There’s multiple things around your house you can use to increase mobility and decrease thoracic stiffness:

 

  • doorways for stretches
  • Foam rollers or towel rolls
  • Tennis ball s
  • Open walls
  • Bed surface or floor
