About Dr. Adam:

Dr. Adam Rutherford is from Coffeyville, KS where he earned his associates degree before transferring to Wichita State University. At Wichita State, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in health science and then received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2026. He currently treats general orthopedics, athletes, vestibular, concussion, performs functional dry needling, and male pelvic floor diagnoses. Outside of the clinic he enjoys spending time with family, friends, working out, golfing, hiking, fishing, and being outdoors! We are honored to have Dr. Rutherford on the Newton Empower team!

About Dr. Avery:

Avery grew up in Bushton, Kansas. In her high school years, she was heavily involved in athletics and extracurriculars. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University in 2023 before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Wichita State University in 2026. She has a true passion for pediatrics and loves helping children gain confidence, independence, and achieve their family goals. She specializes in pediatrics and functional dry needling and is dedicated to creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for both her patients and their families. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, watching documentaries, hiking, playing board/word games, and visiting family.
