Does Dry Needling Hurt?
Thankfully, when done correctly by an experienced & certified PT, you should not feel pain during treatment! You may experience a “deep muscle ache” feeling or quick muscle twitch.
When you get “hooked up” to the electrical component of dry needling, it can provide additional pain relieving benefits. Similar to what it feels like to have a TENS unit, this helps to reset your muscles and often provides immediate results.
